Lauren Still, B.S.
B.S., Fisheries and Wildlife, Oregon State University, American Canoe Association certified
Lauren is originally from Southern Oregon. Her childhood consisted of adventuring through the nearby woods, camping, and fishing with family and friends, exploring the family’s small farm, and hanging out at the beach. In high school, her interest in fisheries science blossomed after her favorite science teacher urged her to begin volunteering at the local salmon hatchery. In 2016, she received a B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife from Oregon State University. Her love of the ocean and the dream of warmer weather forced her to migrate south to the Dauphin Island Sea Lab. Here, she started working in a fisheries research lab as an intern in 2016, and then as a technician in 2017 for the University of Florida. Recently, Lauren returned to Alabama waters to begin an internship with Discovery Hall Programs and share her love of the ocean with future scientists and enthusiasts.
